Support for clinically extremely vulnerable colleagues

3 December 2020

We have updated the advice for clinically extremely vulnerable colleagues now that the second national lockdown has come to an end and Derbyshire has moved into Tier 3 restrictions.

The advice to all those classed as clinically extremely vulnerable in all tiers is to work from home where possible as this reduces the chance of you being exposed to the virus.

If you cannot work from home then you can now return to work as long as your workplace is COVID-19 secure. Before anyone who is clinically extremely vulnerable returns to the workplace, their manager must undertake an individual risk assessment with them to ensure all necessary control measures are in place.

If you are clinically extremely vulnerable you should not return to a role where you are delivering personal care.

We may redeploy colleagues who cannot work from home and cannot currently return to their normal role to other duties during this period but these will only be duties that you can perform from home or from a COVID-19 secure base.

We have updated the clinically extremely vulnerable pay policy to reflect this change but please speak to your line manager if you have any questions.
