Switch over to our new printers

12 July 2023

We hope that by now you’ve had the opportunity to find out how to use our new Canon devices (also known as Multi-function devices or MFDs) to print, scan and photocopy.

The majority of new devices have now been installed and the final few are due to be delivered soon.

If you’re working at a site which has already had a replacement Canon MFD delivered, please help ensure that it is, and remains, connected to the network via the network cable plugged in to the side of the device. Any Ricoh MFDs should be disconnected and turned off.

If you’re working at a site which has not yet had a replacement Canon MFD delivered, please help ensure that when it is delivered and tested, that it is left connected to the network.

We are working with Ricoh to arrange collection of their MFDs in the near future.

As a reminder, if you need to order any print cards for your team members you can complete the request form.

If you need more information about how to use the new devices, we have information and user guides available on the Learning Centre.

Some of the new devices are showing an IEEE 802.1X error message, but this does not affect the way you use the machine. We are working on a solution to remove the message, but in the meantime, you do not need to report this error to the IT Service Desk.
