Technology drop-in event at County Hall

15 September 2025

A free drop-in event is being held at County Hall on Monday 22 September to showcase how new technology can support people to remain independent at home for longer.

So if you, a relative, friend or someone you work with needs a bit of extra support to stay safe, why not pop along between 10am and 4pm.

It’s open to the public, and health and social care professionals to find out more about the latest smart home technology including community alarms, smart home devices like Alexa, falls detectors, apps, smart speakers and digital AI sensors.

It’s being held as part of Technology Enabled Care Week where you’ll get the chance to meet market leaders and find out about the wide variety of equipment and options available.

There will also be the opportunity to meet organisations that run services on our behalf such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK, Healthwatch Derbyshire, sensory services, Derbyshire Carers Association and mental health support.

Staff and representatives from Mediquip Connect will also be at events around the county during the week including:

  • Buxton Market Place on Tuesday 23 September from 9am to 4pm
  • Swadlincote Market on Friday 26 September from 9am to 2pm.

Free webinars are also being held throughout the week. Find out more and book.
