Health literacy is about:
- People being able to understand information to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
- Services and organisations providing information in a way that everyone can understand and access.
We’re running some training sessions funded by Joined Up Care and delivered by a health psychologist which will cover:
- what health literacy is and why it is important
- how to spot when someone has low health literacy
- how to make your information easier to understand
- examples of what other teams have done, and ideas you could use in your own work
- where to find helpful health literacy resources.
The sessions will be delivered via Microsoft Teams on:
- Tuesday 17 February at 9:30am to 11:30am
- Wednesday 18 March at 9:30am to 11:30am
- Thursday 23 April at 9:30am to 11:30am
