Trans Awareness Week

18 November 2022

This week is Trans Awareness Week which culminates in Trans Day of Remembrance on 20 November 2022.

It's a time for reflection, celebration, and a time for us to come together as a community to highlight the issues faced by trans, non-binary and gender diverse people.

Yesterday we held our ‘Equali-Tea Break’ webinar focusing on Trans inclusion and awareness. This was really well attended but if you couldn’t make it, you can watch the recording.

We’ve created a teams background for you to use during Trans Awareness Week to show your support. It features the Transgender flag which is used as a symbol of transgender pride and diversity, and transgender rights. The flag is made up of blue, pink and white stripes. The blue and pink represent traditional baby boy and baby girl colours while the white is for those who are transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender.
