Unpaid carers are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine
16 March 2021
COVID-19 vaccination programme is progressing in Derbyshire, with qualifying unpaid carers under 65 now being called up for vaccination.
Carers who qualify are defined as those who are eligible for a carer's allowance, or those who are the sole or primary carer of an elderly or disabled person who is at increased risk of COVID-19 mortality and therefore clinically vulnerable.
If this applies to you then you may be contacted by letter about receiving your vaccination. You may also be able to book or manage your coronavirus vaccination. There are a few questions to answer to see if you are eligible.
For more information please see the guidance for those who provide unpaid care to friends or family.
