We are keen to invite those who have been working from home to use workspaces again as soon as possible, and to do that we need to ensure that spaces are fully prepared and measures are in place to keep colleagues safe.
If you are currently working from home, please do not return to your workplace until further guidance is issued and your manager confirms that you can make use of council buildings again. More information on when and how you can make use of office spaces will be issued next week.
We’re expecting colleagues to adopt new, modern ways of working rather than return to the way we worked before the pandemic. This will involve working with your manager to agree a way of working that balances the needs of the service with the opportunity to work more flexibly.
At County Hall, the preparation of new team zones is nearly complete and discussions are continuing about our wider buildings. We will ensure that colleagues know how to use our new spaces, understand the new health and safety procedures and know what equipment is available. In the meantime and to help prepare for using these workspaces, please make sure you have completed the fire safety for office based staff and low risk environments training which is available on Derbyshire Learning Online.
