They are as follows:
- colleagues on grades 1-13 an increase of £1,290 (pro rata for part time employees)
- colleagues on grades 14-21 an increase of 2.5%
- an increase of 2.5% on all flat rate allowances which would include payments such as standby and sleep-in.
This was in response to the Joint Trade Union (Unison, GMB and Unite) pay claim of £3,000 or 10%, whichever is greater and 10% for Chief Officers.
Trade Unions are now balloting their members on whether to accept the pay offer, with the final ballot due to close mid-July. We will provide a further update as soon as possible afterwards, once we receive notification of the results.
Once a pay increase is agreed it will be effective from 1 April 2024 and backdated payments will be made to employees.
