Updated lone working guidance

A number of issues regarding lone working have been raised recently so we have updated our health and safety guidance on the management of lone working, managing home visits and the accompanying lone working generic risk assessment.

Many teams will already have local systems in place for lone working and where these are well-rehearsed and working, it makes sense for these to continue. However, some teams may not have systems in place, or their systems may not be robust, so this guidance and risk assessment is needed to make sure that there are minimum safety standards in place to protect lone workers.

Please make sure you report any incidents of verbal and physical assaults or any other concerns you have regarding health and safety and lone working. This information is vital in making sure we can protect you. Incidents can be reported through Our Derbyshire.
