There's lots of information available to help people celebrate from the safety and comfort of their own home as dozens of public events have been postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
We've heard from colleagues in care homes who have some great plans to help residents celebrate the occasion.
At Whitestones in Chapel-en-le-Frith they'll be enjoying high tea surrounded by flags and bunting while listening to 1940s music.
At Thomas Fields in Buxton they'll be having fish and chips in newspaper for lunch followed by a party in the garden with singing, bingo and old fashioned party food. They've had lots of support from the local community with balloons, decorations, cakes, flowers and sweets all being kindly donated.
We'd love to know if you're celebrating the day so send your photos, videos and stories to email@example.com
