Visit by Councillor Tony King to our new employment and training hub

Cabinet Member for Clean Growth and Regeneration, Councillor Tony King called in at our new employment and training hub last week to chat to staff and meet some of the young people who are using the service.

The hub is based at the Cotmanhay and Ilkeston Adult Community Education Centre with a support service at Ilkeston library. The hub supports young people between the ages of 16 and 24 in taking steps towards employment, apprenticeships, volunteering or other training. They also get health and wellbeing support if needed.

This is our second hub and has been inspired by the success of the initial one set up in Chesterfield last year. The 2 hubs offer face-to-face help and there is also countywide online support available.
