October is World Menopause Month, and 18 October 2023 is marked as World Menopause Awareness Day.
We’re committed to developing a supportive culture for all colleagues experiencing the perimenopause and menopause. Earlier this year we launched our menopause policy which aims to educate and inform managers of their responsibility to understand how the perimenopause and menopause can affect individuals, and how they can support those experiencing the menopause at work.
For more support and to help you find out more, Joined Up Care Derbyshire has a wealth of ongoing menopause support sessions.
Here’s what's taking place in the next couple of weeks:
Wednesday 18 October From 11am to 11.45am Your pension and the menopause information and support session
Thursday 19 October From 2pm to 3pm Menopause for transgender/LGBTQIA+ communities information and support session
Monday 23 October From 12.30pm to 1.30pm Menopause and reasonable adjustments at work information and support session
From 12.30pm to 1.30pm Queering the menopause information and support session
Tuesday 24 October From midday to 1pm Inequalities in menopause care information and support session
Wednesday 25 Oct From 8am to 8.30am Menopause yoga online information and support session
From midday to 12.45pm BAME community menopause cafe information and support session
From 4pm to 4:45pm Menopause and hair loss support information and support session
From Friday 27 October From midday to 1pm Menopause and nutrition information and support session
