Domestic abuse could be between adults who are or have been in a relationship, or between family members. It can be psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional abuse. It’s rarely a one-off incident, but a pattern of power and control.
If you’re worried you or someone you know is suffering from domestic abuse, please be reassured that even in lockdown, there is support available for you around the clock. Please seek help if you need it and if you or anyone you know is in immediate danger call 999 and ask for the police.
