Video conferencing suites

Video conferencing suites facilities are now available at the following sites:

  • Matlock (County Hall, Room 48)
  • Chesterfield (Saltergate, Room 301a
  • Glossop (Municipal buildings, Room 33)
  • Ilkeston (Mercian Close, Room 10)
  • Swadlincote, Civic Way

Check the availability of the video conference rooms and make your booking.

If you require rooms at more than one location, please make sure they are available and book each room individually, selecting that you require video conferencing equipment.

Using video conferencing instead of travelling for some journeys will help to save money, time and reduce our CO2 emissions.

Video conferencing is available to all employees to use for internal and external meetings, large or small. If you have a laptop the video conferencing screens can also be used to show presentations instead of using a projector and screen.

Rooms with video conferencing facilities are also available for staff to use for normal, non-conference meetings. However, priority will be given to those wanting to use the rooms to make a video conference call which may result in non-video conference meetings being cancelled at short notice. This does not apply in the case of safeguarding case conferences at Buxton and Swadlincote.

Help and advice

Instructions on how to use the video conferencing units can be found in each room and each site has at least one ‘champion’ to help users get started using video conferencing. The user guide, instructions for booking video conferencing, and a list of the video conferencing champions, are attached to this page.
