These range from very noticeable structures of national importance such as the Georgian crescent in Buxton and the 13th century medieval causeway across the River Trent at Swarkestone, through schools and offices to quite small wayside objects like milestones and guideposts. The list is intended to inform any person occupying the buildings or dealing with their repair, maintenance or alteration.
As statutorily protected structures, such interventions may require formal consents and any queries in this respect should be directed to the Conservation, Heritage and Design section of the Economy, Transport and Environment Service.
The accuracy of the list is not guaranteed and any errors or queries should be directed to Alex Gilbert, Historic Buildings Architect, email alex.gilbert@derbyshire.gov.uk.
