In order to help us reduce sickness absence and promote organisational and individual resilience, guidance for managers has been produced.
The guidance outlines the wellbeing support currently available to employees for all the major categories of sickness that we record.
It sets out the managers and employees responsibilities to utilise these services at the earliest opportunity to either prevent absence from work wherever possible or to promote recovery where employees have to take time off though ill health.
It complements the existing attendance management and ill health capability procedure.
