Muscle and bone health
Musculo skeletal injuries and conditions are the second highest cause of sickness absence at the council and there's a significant increase in the rate of these in our older workforce. Pro-active management of these conditions can significantly improve quality of life for anyone suffering as well as helping employees remain effective and efficient.
In order to support our employee’s wellbeing, we have worked with our Joined Up Care Derbyshire colleagues to ensure all the support from the wellbeing programme is easily accessible in one place.
A poster is available in our related documents section with details of what muscle and bone health support is available and how to access it. It also provides information on other services supporting muscle and bone health.
In addition to this, there is our internal occupational health and physiotherapy support which can be found on our occupational health page.
