Adult care safeguarding

We're committed to preventing the abuse and neglect of adults, and with other partners and local authorities we've agreed a standard procedure to follow.


The full definition of an adult at risk in Derbyshire is:

"Any person 18 years and over who is, or appears to be, eligible for authority/mental health services assistance by reason of mental ill health, physical or learning disability, illness or age-related frailty, and/or may be unable to take care of themselves or unable to protect themselves against significant harm or exploitation."
