People Strategy 2021 to 2025

The People Strategy is important because it recognises that our staff are at the heart of the following:

  • Enabling change
  • Ensuring our partners and communities thrive
  • Helping our organisation succeed.

With a diverse range of roles and services, our people represent us as an organisation, and we aim to make sure our workforce reflects our communities.

Our 2021 to 2025 People Strategy was approved by Cabinet in July 2021.

While our Council Plan sets out what we will do and the future direction of the council, our people strategy sets out how we will enable and support you through our people priorities and our employee values and behaviours.

Through the Derbyshire Deal, we will be clear about what we offer and what we expect from our staff as we develop our culture of mutual trust.
