Employee survey 2026

The survey will be open from 1 to 30 September 2026.

Every response matters. The more colleagues who take part, the better we can understand what it's like to work at the council, recognise what's working well and identify where improvements are needed.

The survey is confidential, voluntary and delivered independently by independent provider, WorkBuzz. This is your voice, our future.

Our employee survey returns in September 2026, giving all colleagues the opportunity to share their experiences, views and ideas about working at the council.

This year we're working with independent survey provider WorkBuzz to deliver the survey. This means responses remain confidential and gives us better insight into what's working well and where improvements can be made.

The survey is voluntary, and this is your opportunity to give confidential feedback about working here. We really hope that you take this valuable opportunity to tell us your views and have your say.

How to take part

On 1 September 2026, all colleagues who joined the council on or before 10 August 2026 will receive an invitation to take part in the survey.

WorkBuzz will email you directly with a link to complete the survey, or you can take part using a generic survey link and access code.

Survey access code

WorkBuzz uses unique links and access codes to prevent duplicate responses. All submissions are anonymous and nobody at the council will be able to view your individual answers.

If you access the survey through a generic link, rather than one emailed to you directly by WorkBuzz, you'll need an access code.

To create your access code you'll need:

  • your date of birth (day, month, last 2 digits of the year)
  • the first letter of your first name as it appears on your payslip or HR record
  • the first 2 letters of your surname as it appears on your payslip or HR record

For example, the access code for Jane Smith, date of birth 15 March 1985 would be 150385JSM.

The code is not case sensitive.

Changing your answers

Once you click on 'Submit' at the end of the questionnaire, your answers cannot be accessed again.

Confidentiality

Your responses will be collected and managed by WorkBuzz. The raw data and individual survey responses will not be shared with the council, and results will only be reported in a way that protects employee anonymity.

If your team receives fewer than 10 responses, the results will be combined with a larger group, such as a department or function. This helps protect anonymity while ensuring your feedback is still included in the overall results.

For more information view the Workbuzz confidentiality promise.

How the results will be shared

Survey results will be shared across the council in October 2026. Senior leaders will be able to review their teams' results and create action plans.

Once the results of the survey have been shared across the council, improvement activity will then take place at both organisational and local level based on the feedback received. Progress and actions will be communicated regularly so colleagues can see how their feedback is making a difference.

Problems accessing the survey

If you have problems accessing the survey try to using your mobile device, laptop, or tablet. If you still can't access it, email support@workbuzz.com and WorkBuzz aims to respond within one full working day.

If you lose or delete your invitation, wait for your email reminder. It won't be long - WorkBuzz will send them regularly to any employees yet to respond.
