It's Mental Health Awareness Week

15 May 2023

It's Mental Health Awareness Week and this year the focus is anxiety and how to manage it.

Anxiety is a normal emotion, but sometimes it can get out of control and become a problem.

As a county council employee, there are several ways you can get support if you are affected by anxiety or any mental health condition. We have a network of Mental Health First Aiders who can guide you to the support you need, our in-house counselling service which offers confidential support and you can also get support through our employee assistance programme.

Find out more about mental health support including information and contact details for people who feel they are in crisis and need urgent help.

Joined Up Care Derbyshire's wellbeing team has introduced several activities to their wellbeing timetable of activities to help support you if you're feeling anxious, worried or stressed.
